The beach of Ras Hankorab is located south of the city Marsa Alam in the Wadi El Gemal National Park and is ideal for snorkeling and relaxing. On the white sandy beach you feel like in the Caribbean.
You will spend the morning there. The reef is still intact and you can admire a variety of fish and corals, the beach invites you to take a long relaxing walk. The water is crystal clear and you run very shallow into the deeper water. In the tent of the Bedouins you can drink tea or enjoy and typical bedouin style coffee and rest in the shade. The women offer their homemade jewelry for sale, but are not intrusive.
Around noon you drive to Qulaan lagoon near the homonymous fishing village Qulaan.
The landscape is characterized by shallow mangroves, waterfowl and many other species. It is the biggest area of mangroves around the red sea. In this turquoise lagoon there is also the possibility to rest in the shade, to drink tea and to swim.
