Tour description 

Enjoy a day at Kew Gardens, also known as the Royal Botanic Gardens, which includes some of the rarest and most threatened plants from Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands. You will also visit Kew Palace, the Temperate House, the Treetop Walkway, and more in this special garden with your family.

  • The closest gate to the Kew Gardens station is Victoria Gate.
  • The whole place is suitable for people with wheelchairs, and there is also an elevator to the upper floors of Kew Palace, even the Treetop Walkway.

  • Kew Gardens is closed on 24 and 25 December 2024.
  • Kew Gardens opens at 10:30 AM on March 31.
  • The last entry time to Kew Gardens is 1 hour before closing time.
  • Free entry for kids from 0 to 3 years old. 
  • Special discounted entry tickets for young people between 16 and 29 years old and people above 65 years old. 
  • Kids 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • You have to note that the upper level of the Hive may be closed due to bad weather conditions.
  • Please note that Glasshouses and some other attractions close earlier than the other attractions.

  • Victoria Gate (Postal area code: TW9 3JR).
  • Lion Gate (Postal area code: TW9 2DF).
  • Elizabeth Gate (Postal area code: TW9 3AB).
  • Brentford Gate (Postal area code: TW9 3AF).

How to get there?

  • By bus: Route 65 stops close to Lion Gate and Victoria Gate; Route 391 stops near Kew Gardens station; and Routes 237 and 267 stop at Kew Bridge station.
  • By train: Kew Bridge station is 800 M from Elizabeth Gate, via Kew Bridge. South West Trains run services from Waterloo, via Vauxhall and Clapham Junction. There is no level access at Kew Bridge. 
  • By metro: Kew Gardens station is 500 M from Victoria Gate. It is in Zone 3 and is served by the District Line (Richmond branch) and London Overground.
