Things To Do In Siwa Oasis

The main attraction of Siwa is the oasis itself as it contains over 300 freshwater springs and is shaded by an estimated 300,000 palm trees and 70,000 olive trees.

There are several ways to reach Siwa:
- You can drive to Marsa Matruh; then head south in the direction of Siwa for 3 hours.
- You can take the bus, which leaves Cairo at night and arrives at Siwa early in the morning.
- You can fly.

Siwa Oasis is situated approximately 850 kilometers to the North East of Cairo, more than 1500 kilometers to the North West of Aswan, 1146 kilometers to the North West of Hurghada, around 500 kilometers to the North West of the Fayoum Oasis, and approximately 250 kilometers to the South West of Marsa Matrouh, which the closest city to Siwa.
