Despite being a small town, Umluj has a rich local history to learn about. Start with the local castle, which was fashioned in the 1500s out of limestone. Then, wander through the old market; lookout for traditional architecture that is built from stone bricks and wood.

Travel by boat for just an hour to the nearby mango farms where you'll find fresh local fruits. Then go a little further to Harrat Lunayyir, a black lava field of craters and 50 volcanic cones.
