What is Kayak?
A kayak is a small, narrow watercraft that is usually propelled by a double-blade paddle.
A traditional kayak has a covered deck and one or more cockpits, each of which sits one. The cockpit is sometimes covered with a spray surface that prevents water from entering the waves or spray, thus distinguishing the vehicle from the boat. The sprayed surface makes it possible for suitably skilled kayaks to roll a kayak: that is, to capsize and straighten out without filling with water or taking out the paddle. Kayak is considered one of the best outdoor activities in Bahrain.

Types of Kayak
Modern kayaks have evolved into specialized types that can be broadly classified according to their application such as marine or cruise kayaks, white water kayaks (or river) kayaks, kayaks, racing kayaks, fishing boats, and recreational kayaks.
Today's broader kayak classes are Sit-In, which is mainly inspired by traditional kayak shapes, Sit-On-Top (SOT), and which has evolved from paddleboards that have been outfitted with footrests and backrest, "Hybrid", which are essentially canoes that have a narrower beam and lower float line that enables the rower to propel them from the center of the boat, using a double-blade paddle, and twin-hull kayaks that offer each rower's leg a narrow hull of their own.
In recent decades, kayak design has spread to the point where the only widely accepted denominator for them has become its design primarily for paddling with a two-blade kayak, the "kayak paddle". However, even this comprehensive definition is being challenged by other human-powered propulsion methods, such as foot-activated pedal motors combined with rotating or side propellers, electric motors, and even outboard motors.
Different types of kayak:
- Single Kayak
- A Kayak Catamaran (Ideal for Fishing or Swimming Platform due to the stability)
- Sailing Kayak Catamaran.
